The paper examines the relationship between education and war, through the perspective of study of Special Education, focusing on resilience. The resilience, considered like intrinsic element of the education, allows the persons, in the case of trauma, shock, negative events, to rebuild and reposition themselves, both with respect to dramatic events, both with respect to the present, both with respect to the future. This will only be possible if the school will offer everyone an “resilience education”. The essay will focus specifically on the possibility of building an educational-existential-resilient plane, through sports activities, focusing on the figure of Ludwig Guttmann (1899-1980), which during the Second World War has been able to offer an educational project founded on sport, reinforcing the idea that only through education is possible fight the wars and their atrocities.
