Abstract – Today the school has become a place that is no longer able to carry out incisive actions in the lives of young people, since it is an institution that is unable to face the challenges of a complex society. The educational need emerges to carry out life projects that are not only didactic and instructive, but also and above all existential ones. These reflections bring to the center of the pedagogical debate, the fundamental role that empathic skills could play in education. It is necessary to carry out educational actions which concern the Teaching of emotions, that intervention program used in schools, which consists in making children, adolescents and pre-adolescents of school age aware of the existence of an internal emotional baggage to be safeguarded, cross and to name.
