This paper describes a teaching experience aimed at facilitating processes of visualization and prediction using a Dynamic Geometry Environment. It is part of a wider research effort to build a theoretical framework to be leveraged for the investigation of the role played by some visuo-spatial abilities in learning Euclidean Geometry. Firstly, the paper frames the investigation work within the international research scenario, by quickly outlining the relevant theoretical framework and by mentioning results of the latest studies on spatial reasoning and visualization. Then, it focuses on the teaching activities performed, describing both content and underlying hypothesis and emphasizing the crucial role played by the Dynamic Geometry Environment. Finally, it briefly presents the results of a preliminary pilot test and outlines future directions of research in this field.
