This paper is focused on two meaningful aspects: on one side, the close relation between epistemology and History of education; on the other, a scientific approach to observe and build up educational field with the awareness of a Science of Education, considered as a complex net. Consequently, it is necessary to bypass a subjective point of view and to consider the historical dimension as a structure of educational inquiry in all its aspects and questions. Therefore only a scientist of Education can apply his efforts to the history of education, in all its definition, from Didactics to Adult Education, from School to Literature for Children.
