This paper attempts to point out the common roots that connect the school system with the adult education system. At the base of the networks, in fact, there are the same premises: the European dimension of education, the principle of autonomy, the integration between training systems. Now, however, a new reform act on adult education seems to give priority to the criteria of expense restraint and it will not improve the current structure.
