Abstract – This paper intends to delve deeper into the theme of the educational inclusion of Ukrainian minors arriving in Italy starting from March 2022, analysing part of the qualitative data that emerged from a more extensive research on the management of the arrival of Ukrainian refugees in the city of Reggio Emilia, in particular drawing from the results of 30 semi-structured interviews with operators (managers, psychologists, linguistic-cultural mediators, educators) involved in reception and housing projects. The focus is on the psychophysical conditions and experiences of minors placed in schools, traumas, stress and shortcomings, the difficulties of integration, the attitudes and practices implemented by teachers and school directors which are not always welcoming and competent, the management of relationships and communications with parents.
