Abstract – Teacher competencies have always been the subject of study and research in didactics and pedagogy. Today the teacher is required not only to possess disciplinary skills but also cross-curricular skills, and the latter take on special significance in the profession of the specialized teacher. This study aims to investigate contestants’ knowledge in selecting the Teacher Training Courses for educational support for Secondary School. The results show that most candidates possess knowledge at the medium level, with some peaks at the high fascia level. This research emphasizes the importance of initial assessment and monitoring on the competencies being acquired by those enrolled in the Specialization Courses for Support to make the training proposal meaningful and effective.
