The aim of this report is to present, for the first time, a group of meteorological instruments, made betweenthe XIX and the beginning of the XX century, belonging to the conspicuous Collection of Antique Physic
Instruments of the University of Ferrara (Italy). After a brief introduction, the article describes a schematic
history of Meteorology. Successively it provides images of the meteorological instruments with their historical
contextualization and technical specifications. This report is part of a research which uses history and antique
instruments to increase the comprehension of basic Physics by part of people with no particular knowledge in
