Gender-based violence represents a serious social issue that requires targeted and substantial interventions. Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) emerges as a key factor in combating gender-based violence, providing essential tools and knowledge to promote healthy, respectful, and consensual relationships. This article aims to examine the role of this education in combating gender-based violence through a review of existing statistical reports and scientific literature. The results indicate that affective and sexual education, when implemented appropriately and inclusively, can positively influence individuals’ perceptions, attitudes, and behaviours towards gender-based violence. Moreover, CSE can contribute to deconstructing harmful gender stereotypes, providing a critical understanding of inequalities and social norms perpetuating violence.
