The following paper deals with the work-related learning introduced in Italian secondary school by Legislative Decree 107/2015. It represents an important challenge to reflect on young people education and on educational opportunities between school and work. Pedagogy has to consider work-related learning to identify issues regarding human development, employability, career guidance. Work-related learning is a key to enhance training as a device to oppose unemployment and job insecurity. It can improve professional opportunities and employability, for young people. Work-related learning, according to a pedagogical interpretation, can be an educational strategy if family, school and enterprises work together to promote full development of students, between calling and competences.
