Cultura umanistica e approccio organizzativo: il presunto bivio dell’educazione degli adulti in Italia

Abstract

In Italy the development of Adult Education has been characterized by the presence of two lines of investigation, often presented as in opposition to each other: a “humanistic” current, focused on the existential dimension of the person, and an organizational one linked to the functional aspects of training. Now this estimated distance can be reduced only if it were to be adopted the “capability approach” by Amartya Sen as a new economic paradigm: this theory has the merit to introduce parameters other than profit or wealth to evaluate the people well-being.
