Abstract
The essay offers a description and a paleographical analysis of a manuscript (14th century AD) containing the Epitoma rei militaris of Vegetius, that is preserved at the Archiginnasio Library in Bologna, with the marking A. 146. The manuscript belonged to Coluccio Salutati, as it is showed by the autograph ex libris in the final leaf (f. 26r). The paleographical analysis first explains the main characters of the scribe’s handwriting; then, it puts on evidence the features of Salutati’s annotations.
